Long Home prepares for move to suburb

A year from now, for the first time since 1905, the stately brick mansion in western Lancaster will no longer house "respectable persons, from the City and County of Lancaster and indigent circumstances, above the age of 55 years, being without a spouse."
The Long Home will close its doors and the personal care home's three dozen or so residents will have moved from West End Avenue to brand-new, $20 million quarters in Manheim Township.
New Senior Housing Project in Bloomsburg

(July 22, 2010) Bloomsburg Health System and Presbyterian Senior Living of Dillsburg, PA. have been notified that the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency has awarded funding to them for a 36 unit apartment building for low to moderate income seniors on property adjacent to the hospital.
Tobacco free environment

Presbyterian Senior Living communities are going to be smoke-free and tobacco-free environments as of January 1, 2011.
