Information for Presbyterian Senior Living Staff During COVID-19

COVID Resources  |  Presbyterian Senior Living | Corporate

All staff members at Presbyterian Senior Living will receive a medical screening before entering the community. In order to access the community and begin their shift, staff must meet the following criteria:

  • You must be free of all signs and symptoms of COVID-19
  • You have not been tested or are awaiting test results for COVID-19 (Unrelated to your daily job duties at PSL)
  • You have not been told to quarantine or self-isolate
  • You have not been exposed to, been in close contact, or live in a household with (unrelated to your daily job responsibilities at PSL), a person meeting the following criteria:
    • A COVID-19 positive person
    • A person under investigation (awaiting test results) for COVID-19
    • A person told to quarantine or self-isolate
  • You have not worked in another organization with a COVID-19 case(s)

If any staff's household members work in a facility where COVID-19 is present, it is essential to discuss this with your supervisor immediately.

If you have been to the ER, in a hospital, or are returning from an outpatient procedure, it is essential to discuss this with your supervisor immediately.

Staff members unable to report to work due to these guidelines should not attempt to access the community, and should contact their supervisor via telephone immediately.

If you become ill, or show signs of the flu or COVID-19 (cough, fever or shortness of breath), we encourage all PSL employees to call off and take the requested measures of seeking treatment with a physician instead of risking the spread of disease to employees and residents.

We know these times can be stressful, and that stress can lead to feelings of worry and anxiety. The Presbyterian Senior Living Employee Assistance Program is available to offer support and counseling as needed. The EAP is a free, confidential service that can help you with life's daily challenges or bigger concerns.

EAP advocates are available 24/7 to provide referrals and guide you to the right solution. Contact them if you need help with just about any issue:

  • Stress, anxiety, or depression
  • Substance use
  • Relationship or family concerns
  • Workplace conflicts
  • Dealing with a crisis
  • Adoption services
  • Childcare and parenting
  • Eldercare
  • Pet care
  • Work/life balance

Information on accessing the EAP is available on MyHR.

We would like to thank you for your commitment to meeting difficult challenges of the past and know that you will again rise to the occasion of this current crisis. It is only through your dedication and commitment that we will be able to prevent the spread of this virus to our communities and protect the people we serve.

Additional updates for staff members will be posted on MyHR.
