Giving Residents the Opportunity to Live Active, Fulfilling Lives

Current Campaigns

If you know Quincy Village—as a resident, family member, business associate or friend—you know this is a special place. Our goal in all we do is to give residents the opportunity to live active, fulfilling lives in the company of caring neighbors and friends.

Gifts may be made to directly support the needs of our residents, activities, and projects at Quincy Village. Below are specific funds that have been previously established.

  • The Benevolent Care Fund – addresses one of the greatest needs at Quincy Village. Even after careful planning, some residents outlive their financial resources. This fund ensures that a resident needing assistance can continue to call Quincy Village home and maintain their dignity and quality of life.
  • Project Christmas – this fund is open in November and December of each year and is designated to provide gifts for our residents who do not have an extended family.
  • Bequests – provide opportunities for individuals to promote and carry out their wishes on how their assets will be used by future generations. Many individuals may not be in a financial position to make an immediate gift during their lifetime, but provisions in a will can convey one’s wishes to an organization of their choosing. We strongly recommend that you carefully consider this arrangement in relation to your comprehensive financial and estate plans. Please consult an attorney in the preparation of your will and to supervise its execution so as to comply with state requirements.
  • Memorial Gifts - honor the life of a resident and recognize the loving care and service of the staff.

The following is our Community Enhancements appeal: We ask that you consider making a gift as a tribute to the Founders of Quincy Village. Your annual gifts totaling $150 or more to the Community Enhancement fund will qualify you for membership in the Founder's Club at Quincy Village.

  • Small Table and Chair Set (2 sets) - A small table and chair set for the balcony area outside of dining in Minnich Manor - $250 (per set)
  • Rocking Chairs (5) - Rocking chairs for the main entrance at Colestock - $100 (per chair)
  • Retractable Awning - Retractable awning for the Bryson Room Courtyard at Colestock which would allow residents to use
outdoor space and have shade - $4,000
  • Stihl Backpack Blower - To be used for leaves- $550

This tribute helps fulfill the vision to provide a loving home for others that was created when Mr. and Mrs. Kitzmiller donated their 163 acre farm in 1902 to the United Brethren Church in order to create an orphanage for children in need.

The Campaign for Parker House at Quincy Village - In Franklin County and the surrounding area, options related to assisted living and personal care are very limited. Quincy Village has addressed this challenge by bringing a unique concept in assisted living to our area, there is nothing else like it. This project is worthy of your consideration. The overall project cost is $10 million. Your gift will help:

  • The three Parker House homes that feature 16 private apartments in each one
  • Offer amenites to inspire interaction, decrease social isolation while encouraging maximum function and self confidence
  • The small kitchenettes and full bathroom in each private apartment
  • The centrally located open kitchen, den, patio, dining room and living room with a fireplace

To discuss how your gift can make a significant and meaningful difference, contact Sue Barthalow, Area Director of Resource Development, at (717) 432-1826 or email: sbarthalow@psl.org. You can also contact Jodi Murphy, Executive Director, at (717) 749-2310 or email jomurphy@psl.org.
