Caring for an Older Adult?

Caring for an Older Adult?

Loneliness is a risk for older adults that may cause illness, depression and even death. Winter is coming but your loved one doesn’t have to be alone during the long winter days and nights. Consider Personal Care respite services at Westminster Woods. Consider what sets us apart and where residents enjoy sharing a cup of coffee with friends and family in a comfortable and secure setting.

We offer short-term respite stays that are affordable and easy to arrange.

So while your loved one makes friends and enjoys great meals with the support of full-time nursing staff, you can enjoy peace of mind while you take care of you.

Not sure if your loved one is ready to move to Personal Care? This is also a perfect way to try Personal Care out for a short time. They can stay for up to 90 days in order to experience the comfort of our apartments and make new friendships along the way. This includes:

• Relaxing in their own private room
• Discovering plenty of opportunities for engaging in conversations and friendships
• Enjoying delicious meals and snacks in a comfortable dining room
• Receiving 24-hour assistance with daily activities, medications and personal care
• Taking advantage of on-site beauty and barber services
• Being entertained through socially stimulating programs
• Rehabilitation services available if ordered by a physician

President's Day Lunch & Learn: The U.S. Constitution and You

President's Day Lunch & Learn: The U.S. Constitution and You

In celebration of President’s Day, retirees are invited to join us for a lunch and learn program that provides insightful information on the most sacred government document in America, the United States Constitution.

Returning to Westminster Woods for his 10th year, Dr. Greg Ferro will share his expertise and insight to answer questions such as:

• Why was the Constitution necessary?
• What kind of Government did the Constitution create?
• What rights does the Constitution protect?
• How has the Constitution expanded over time?
• How is the Constitution interpreted?

The event starts at noon in the Commons Dining Room, 140 Aspen Lane, second floor, for a hearty buffet followed by Dr. Ferro’s presentation in the Terrace Fellowship Center at 1 p.m.

If the event is cancelled due to snow, it will be recorded on the phone number listed below.

There is no charge for this event but reservations are necessary by Friday, February 15, 2019.
