This ensures your payment data is transmitted through secure channels that meet the strictest industry standards.

When you make a donation online, you may be asked to provide personal and payment information. Presbyterian Senior Living (PSL) is committed to protecting this information and maintaining your trust. Online donations are processed through secure, industry-standard payment services that encrypt and tokenize all card information in accordance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) and Payment Application Data Security Standard (PA DSS). Our database and online fundraising systems maintain security controls validated through Service Organization Control (SOC) 1 and SOC 2 audits based on the AICPA Trust Services Principles (Security, Availability, Processing Integrity, Confidentiality, and Privacy).

Access to donor information is limited to trained Mission Support team members who follow strict confidentiality requirements and use secure password protocols. PSL enforces the Minimum Necessary Access Standard and complies with applicable federal and state privacy laws, including HIPAA’s Privacy, Security, and Breach Notification Rules. When vendors handle protected health information (PHI) for fundraising purposes, PSL executes Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) requiring appropriate safeguards and breach notification obligations. Vendors are required to promptly notify PSL of any security incidents and cooperate in meeting applicable legal requirements.

PSL retains donor and resident records only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described above or as required by law and securely disposes of personal information through shredding or other secure methods.
