Since 2009, Friends of the Woods (FOW) has raised more than $200,000 for purchases to enrich Westminster Woods residents’ daily lives!

The Annual Yard Sale is a popular event that draws bargain hunters from throughout the area. This year’s sale, held on September 12, 2026, was a tremendous success. The proceeds will fund at least one wished for renovation project for the coming year.
A favorite holiday tradition, our Annual Christmas Cookie Sale draws buyers from throughout the area. With cookies generously contributed by FOW members and friends, popular items sell quickly, so arrive early!

At our latest Meet the Author fundraising event, Author Jesse Wright, MD, PhD, a professor and an internationally recognized psychiatrist, shared lunch with attendees and answered questions about his book, A Stream to Follow. His novel is an award-winning account of a battlefield surgeon’s recovery from the psychological trauma of warfare.
