On June 29, 2026, Green Ridge Village, Newville, PA, hosted its 2025 Donor Appreciation Reception, bringing together residents, team members, and other supporters to recognize the generosity of those who invested in the community throughout the year.
The event celebrated the meaningful impact of philanthropy at Green Ridge Village and highlighted the many ways donor support strengthens the lives of residents and team members. In 2025, donations totaled more than $275,000, providing resources for resident assistance, community enhancements, programs that promote health and well-being, team member assistance, and more.
One of the areas highlighted during the reception was the Resident Assistance Fund. In 2025, five Green Ridge Village residents received assistance from Presbyterian Senior Living to help cover housing fees, meals, health insurance premiums, medical care, and other essential expenses totaling over $344,000. In addition, PSL provided support to help cover the gap between the cost of care and medical assistance reimbursement rates for 48 residents, totaling more than $2.6 million. PSL is truly dedicated to its mission.
The Team Member Assistance Fund also made a significant difference during the year. Six Green Ridge Village team members received emergency assistance after experiencing unexpected hardships such as medical emergencies, fires, automobile accidents, and funeral expenses. This assistance, totaling $4,200, helped provide stability and support during challenging times.
The reception also reflected on the many donor-funded improvements that have enhanced community life over the years. Over the years, generous contributions have supported spaces such as the walking trails, the woodshop, the dog park, and community garden, and more. These enhancements continue to provide opportunities for engagement, recreation, learning, and connection for residents and team members alike.
Another important aspect of Green Ridge Village’s culture of philanthropy is the participation of team members. During 2025, team member contributions totaled $9,145, demonstrating a shared commitment to supporting neighbors, colleagues, and the community.
The Donor Appreciation Reception served as an opportunity to express thanks to those who strengthen programs and services, and help ensure Green Ridge Village remains a vibrant community where residents and team members can flourish.
