On June 30, 2026, Quincy Village, Waynesboro, PA, gathered residents, team members, family members, friends, and donors in the Hess Room for its Donor Appreciation Reception, celebrating those whose generosity strengthened the community throughout 2025.
In 2025, donations totaled $246,149 providing resources for resident assistance, community enhancements, programs that promote health and well-being, team member assistance, and more.
During the event, Dan Davis reflected on the roots of Presbyterian Senior Living (PSL), which began nearly 100 years ago with a generous gift from Ellen Parker. Her vision created a legacy of philanthropy that continues today through donors who believe in supporting their community.
Wally Lee, Director of Mission Support, highlighted the impact of donor-supported programs, including the Resident Assistance Fund. In 2025, 17 Quincy Village residents received more than $336,000 in assistance to help cover housing fees, meals, healthcare costs, and other necessities. Additionally, PSL provided more than $3.9 million in support beyond medical assistance reimbursement rates for 73 residents. PSL is truly dedicated to its mission.
Guests also heard heartfelt stories from residents whose lives have been positively impacted by donor generosity. Their experiences served as a powerful reminder that every gift directly supports neighbors and friends in need.
A recurring theme throughout the reception was the spirit of community. Resident, donor, volunteer, and Mission Support Committee member Cheryl Rhodes shared her appreciation for Quincy Village's culture of generosity.
Executive Director Jodi Murphy concluded the program by recognizing the many team members who give back to Quincy Village. In 2025, team-member donations totaled $11,600, demonstrating that philanthropy at Quincy Village is truly community wide.
