PHPH Foundation Makes a Difference

Mission Support & Philanthropy

The Presbyterian Homes of the Presbytery of Huntingdon (PHPH) Foundation is dedicated to preserving the charitable purpose and long-standing mission of PHPH. The PHPH Foundation supports operations and the residents who live in all levels of living.

Each quarter the board gathers to review, consider, and approve requests from Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg and Westminster Woods at Huntingdon.

In quarter one, Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg received support totaling $29,531.68 to purchase a PhysioCycle for the IL Fitness Room, parallel bars for the therapy department, healthcare mattress replacements, pocket tag readers, dining room chairs, and furnishings for four Personal Care rooms. Westminster Woods at Huntingdon received $29,546.58 to purchase platform-mounted parallel bars for the therapy department, room number signs, manual recliners, dressers and nightstands for healthcare, and a Tovertafel.

The Tovertafel is an interactive projection system with games for people with cognitive disabilities. It projects games that respond to movement, turning any table, floor or surface into a playing space. It fits seamlessly into daily care and education routines, supporting cognitive and emotional well-being through play.

In quarter two, Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg received support totaling $23,998.35 to purchase resident lifts, slings for resident lifts, and resident room mattresses and bed accessories. Westminster Woods at Huntingdon received $23,813.85 to purchase resident mattresses, lift slings, a kitchen Robo Coupe, tables for their Tovertafel, a crash cart, sitting chairs for resident lounges, a Broda wheelchair, and a high-back wheelchair.

Members of the PHPH Foundation Board include Alan Anderson, Mary Croft, Sue Esch, Terry Goldstein, and James Huff.

The team members and residents at Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg and Westminster Woods at Huntingdon are most grateful for the support of the PHPH Foundation and the Board, which totaled $106,890.46 in the first two quarters of this year.
