Presbyterian Senior Living announced the appointment of Tonya Y. Miller, PT, DPT, PhD, to its Board of Directors. With over 25 years of healthcare leadership experience and doctoral studies in Leadership, she brings extensive expertise in healthcare operations, strategic planning, and organizational development to this important volunteer governance role.
As a new member of PSL's Board of Directors, Dr. Miller will contribute to the organization's mission while continuing her work as the Academic Program Lead for the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at Harrisburg University of Science and Technology and as the founder of TYM Coaching. Her proven track record spans from coaching front-line healthcare providers to collaborating with boards of directors in large healthcare systems. This experience will provide a valuable perspective for PSL's continued excellence.
Dr. Miller serves as an internationally recognized speaker and visionary founder of TYM Coaching, where she designs customized professional development programs that empower individuals and organizations. Academically, she teaches coursework in healthcare leadership, professionalism, and health equity, while her research focuses on health equity for marginalized populations, including women experiencing homelessness and the LGBTQIA+ communities.
Dr. Miller holds a PhD in Leadership Studies and maintains active involvement in numerous community volunteer organizations where she serves in board and leadership roles. She is a founding member and executive director of PA Vent Camp, a nonprofit supporting children and adults requiring ventilatory support—a cause she has championed for over 30 years.
Dr. Miller's passion for community service and her extensive experience make her a perfect fit for our board. Her experience will help PSL maintain high standards of quality and service, reinforcing our reputation as a trusted leader in senior living.
