Presbyterian Senior Living recently hosted two inspiring events in support of our mission to serve older adults with purpose and compassion.
The celebration began with our Partners in Mission Reception, an evening of gratitude, storytelling, and connection with our generous supporters. The following day, despite inclement weather forcing the cancellation of play at the last minute, sponsors, participants, and supporters of the Jack Barnhart Memorial Golf Tournament demonstrated their unwavering commitment to PSL's mission. Together, these events showcased the powerful impact of partnership and philanthropy in enriching the lives of those we serve.
Partners in Mission: Celebrating the Power of Partnership
It was an evening of gratitude and inspiration at the annual Partners in Mission Reception, held at the historic King Mansion, Harrisburg, PA on September 21.
During the event, 48 guests heard stories that showcased the incredible impact of our philanthropic partners while enjoying delicious refreshments.
PSL team members and residents shared how partner gifts are being put to work to support programs within the communities.
Lillie West, a resident at Quincy Village, Waynesboro, PA, shared her gratitude for the donors who support residents, noting that even with careful financial planning, unexpected health challenges and higher levels of care can place significant financial strain on older adults and their families. She emphasized that donor support helps ease the stress and uncertainty many residents face, providing peace of mind during some of life's most difficult circumstances.

Barnhart Memorial Golf Tournament
On September 22, over 60 golfers, sponsors, and supporters gathered at the beautiful Colonial Country Club in Harrisburg, PA, for the annual Jack Barnhart Memorial Golf Tournament.
While rain prevented tournament play, the spirit of fellowship, generosity, and commitment to Presbyterian Senior Living's mission remained strong. Partners in Mission sponsors and participants enjoyed refreshments and time together, and all golfers received vouchers to return and play the course on a day of their choosing. Despite the weather, the event reflected the meaningful partnerships and shared dedication that help support older adults served by Presbyterian Senior Living.
The Jack Barnhart Memorial Golf Tournament was named in honor of Jack Barnhart, whose generosity and dedication left a lasting impact on PSL. As a significant donor, Chairman's Circle member, and devoted supporter of PSL's mission, Jack gave not only through his philanthropy but also through his active involvement and leadership. The tournament continues his legacy of compassion, generosity, and commitment to enriching the lives of older adults.
Swag Bags and Sponsor Giveaways
Every participant received a tournament swag bag filled with golf essentials including a golf shoe bag, golf balls, ball markers, and tees.
A Message of Mission
Attendees were thanked by Dan Davis, President and CEO, and they heard inspiring remarks from Ware Presbyterian Village resident, Jim Horn. His message highlighted the lasting impact that generosity has on residents, team members, and PSL communities. Bethanie Constant, Vice President of Mission Support, shared that the Partners in Mission broke another record contributing $279,500!
