June is Cataract Awareness Month. Make the most of it by getting the facts. Cataracts are a medical condition that affects the eye, in which the eye's lens becomes clouded. While the greatest risk factor for cataracts is age, if caught early, there are treatment options.
If your vision is starting to look a little hazy, it may be time to talk with your eye doctor. Symptoms of cataracts include a dark, brown, and yellow tinge to the eye, light sensitivity, and halos. Don't wait until it's too late, and don't let your eyes deceive you. Call your eye doctor if you suspect you may have cataracts or notice any of the above symptoms affecting your eye health.
